Sorry if my question seems silly but I’m really confused… Do you need a slave flash/.external flash to bounce off the light of a reflector? Or the flourescent/halogen/etc does it?

I’m looking to add a little color without replacing the shades, which I have researched and realized it will cost about $13 a shade for the colors I want. I have so many shades, it would save me a lot of money if I could paint them myself. The existing shades are white semi-translucent glass. I’d like to add an aqua color to them, either solid or in a pattern, which may look better to hide the brush strokes)

I have no existing light fixtures in the spots I want the pendant lights to hang, is this a big job? For a professional?

recessed lighting
GrayWalnite asked:

When I installed my Malibu lights (12 lamps) one option for connecting was the loop circuit for which the instruction manual says gives a more even brightness of each lamp. I did it that way. Now I am connecting my recessed lights (6 lamps) and I am curious if the loop method has a significant andvantage over a straight parallel. Or am I just overkilling it.

I want to put an extension ring on an outside floodlight receptacle which would give me a threaded knock out to run conduit. On the circuit would be the flood light, and 2 boxes (a pendant light on each box). Is this possible or even safe?

landscape lighting
McLaren asked:

I installed all new low voltage exterior landscape lighting three years ago. The fixtures now have fairly noticable oxidation. I believe that they are powder coated cast aluminum. I have 20 path lights, a large five lamp pole fixture, and several floods that all have the same problem.

I invested a fairly substansial amount of time and money in this lighting and I would like to find some way to remove the oxidation without having to replace all of the lights.
