What is a good camera for taking night scenery (landscape or concert in low light), zoom close ups, and moving objects(sports)? For under $600. the pictures have to be clear and show sharp detail (bird feathers, hair texture)
I am leaning towards the canon sd990 which has 14.7 megapixels. so i would like a camera with high megapixels and either nikon or canon.

Last…November I’d say, for two nights in a row the most bizarre occurrence happened to me. I’d be dozing off in bed with my small dog by my side. There was faint light shining on my closet, from the moon or a landscaping light outside..I don’t remember. Anyway, as I was dozing off, I saw a silhouette of a man with a top hat walking downward along my closet. Next thing I know (in a split second, literally). I am standing in the middle of my floor petting my dog under my arm vigorously, asking “Oh my god are you ok buddy?” I had the chills for some reason and a ringing in my ears and I turned my light on immediately. The next night, the same exact thing happened. I feel I believe I saw something and it was my instinct to protect my little dog. But, why standing in the middle of the floor without a rememberance of ever getting out of bed? That is what frightens me the most.

Weird thing, both my standing light and table lamp went out. I’ve replaced the halogen bulbs (twice.. and expensive) and checked the fuse, everything seems ok. What’s wrong here? They’re supposed to be straight forward equipments.
