I need to install my outdoor Christmas lights on my balcony, but don’t have an outlet outside. Isn’t there some pay to plug them into the outdoor light bulb socket? How do I do it, what do I need to buy?

How do I make my outdoor lights emit red without changing the bulb?

In my film class, our professor mentioned some type of fiberglass gels that you use to change the color of the light. However, I don’t think I heard him correctly and now someone wants to put it over their outdoor lights to make them red for the holidays. I’m pretty sure I have the correct material (the woven fiberglass) in mind, but I just want to make certain. if this is the incorrect material, what else can I use to put over my lights as a gel to make the light reds.

I would like to place them under my carport which is covered by a lattice screen. Will they get enough indirect sunlight there to make them work properly?

I want to replace my outdoor wall-mounted light by my front door. The one I have now also has an outlet on it. I find this very handy to plug in my weed whacker, etc. I can’t seem to find an outdoor light that comes with the outlet. Have they been discontinued?
Thanks HVAC, I did check in those stores. I guess they don’t make them anymore.

I notice a lot of people purhase those solar Malibus from Wal-mart they are independent and each have a set of rechargable batteries. You stick them into the ground and the sun charges them over time. Are they worth it……

Any ideas for outdoor lighting?

I have a great patio/deck and no light gets to it at night. There is no access to an outlet. My apartment is rental so I can’t screw anything into the building. Plus- the outside of the building is brick. I was looking for battery operate lighting- but not string lights. I was also looking for something a little more “stylish” than the tap lights.

Suggestions for outdoor dance floor lighting for a wedding?

Cakes asked:
We are getting married in an outdoor ceremony followed by an outdoor reception. The dance floor is a large wooden deck with one wall (okay it’s a fence/trellis kind of thing) along the back side of it. We are looking for suggestions on how to add lighting to the dance floor. I don’t want something tacky like strobes and a disco ball. I want classy and subtle but fun. Any lighting suggestions? Any links or photos or things you’ve actually tried would be greatly appreciated!!!

Do they make a conducting gel or compound to put in my loose outdoor lighting sockets?

I have Malibu outdoor lighting with pinch type pieces of metal that hold on to the little bulbs. I’ve tried pinching the 2 pieces closer, but this works for about a day before it loosens and the light goes out. Is there any type of product that conducts electricity I can put in this socket to make the connection more stable?
